Tune-Up and Inspection

Our tune-up includes: visual inspection of all components, spring tension testing, cable examination, track cleaning and alignment, roller bearing inspection, hinge lubrication, safety sensor testing, auto-reverse function testing, weather seal inspection, hardware tightening, and complete operation testing with detailed service report.

We recommend annual tune-ups for typical residential use (2-4 cycles daily). High-use doors (6+ cycles daily) may benefit from twice-yearly service. Seasonal tune-ups (spring and fall) help prepare doors for temperature changes that affect operation.

While tune-ups prevent most problems, some components have finite lifespans (springs: 10,000-30,000 cycles). However, our inspections identify components nearing end-of-life, allowing you to replace them proactively rather than during an emergency. This planning approach saves money and prevents inconvenience.

We'll immediately inform you of any issues, explain their urgency, and provide repair quotes. You decide what to address immediately versus schedule for later. Many minor issues can be fixed during the tune-up visit with your approval.

Yes, we provide a detailed service report listing all components checked, any issues found, recommendations for future service, and maintenance tips. This helps you track your door's condition and plan for future maintenance needs.
